After remaining
engaged in social welfare jobs for Muslims before Independence, in response
to a call from great Freedom Fighter Nawab Bahadur Yar Jhang and Quaid-e-Azam
Mohammad Ali Jinnah founder of Pakistan, Pakistan Social Association
(PSA) was formally launched in Pakistan immediately after Independence
in 1947, PSA got registered as NGO by Government of Pakistan in the
year 1963.
Pakistan Social Association (PSA) as NGO has peculiar style of adjusting
its sails with latest challenges confronting civil society of Pakistan.
In-line with this pro-active approach, PSA has recently ventured into
two major areas of working as follows.
- Capacity building
of our Ruler Areas through use of technologies like Internet. (E-Village
Project)
- Supporting and helping the law enforcement organizations of Pakistan
in natural emergencies and in their fight against social evils and also
assist the victims of crimes in getting justice. (Project Margalla Panthers
and Crime Stoppers Pakistan)
Since its inception PSA is working only under one objective i.e. “To
obtain please of GOD through Service of humanity”. During last
sixty one years PSA had been engaged in supportive activities to help
civil society in areas like health, education, campaigns against social
evils like drugs, human trafficking and cyber crimes etc.
